,,International Archaeological Center’’

On May  13th the ,,International Archaeological Center’’ of the University of Georgia arranged the first archaeological tour to Samshvilde Archaeological Complex. The participants of the tour were representatives of different embassies and international organizations in Georgia:

Sisero Martins Garsia ambassador of the Embassy of Brazil in Georgia;

Fabienne Seydoux Consul of the Embassy of Switzerland in Georgia

Albert Kloos Consul of the Embassy of Hetherlands in Georgia;

Dessislava Ivanova-Kozleva Ambassador of the Embassy of the Republic of Bulgaria to Georgia;

Reza Puri  Emissary  of Iran in Georgia;

Mrs. Antje Fischer and Mr. Hans-Joachim Lipp – Deutche Gesellschaft fur Internatonalse Zusammenarbait (GIZ);

Kieran Dalton – Senior Mission Analytical Capability Analyst. EUMM;

Alvaro Higueras  - Professor of Archaeology; Simon Fraser University;

Kirstin Funke – German Archaeologist and Anthropologist;

After the visiting the site, the results of Samshvidle Archaeological Expedition and archaeological materials were presented to the guests by Prof. David Berikashvili on the scientific base of the University of Georiga in the village Samshvilde.
